Here is a list of useful software or web apps that I use :

Windows only

I don’t develop on Windows any more. I find MacOS more efficient and user friendly.

Windows and Mac

VirtualBox – virtualization, ideal for running testing environments
Toggl – Personal time tracking
Atom – Text editor similar to Sublime Text, but free
VS Code – another free text editor this time by Microsoft. Getting regular updates and rapidly becoming my favourite
Brackets – A text editor with live preview when working with HTML and CSS
Laravel Homestead – A VM environment optimised for PHP development

Mac only

Pixelmator – Image manipulation
ForkLift – FTP/SFTP
